Coinciding with International Children’s Book Day on 2nd April 2015, African Initiatives wanted to find out just how many books your students could read from the 23rd February 2015 until the last day of term on the 27th March.

Friends and family encouraged the students to read more in their spare time and in reading lessons by sponsoring them per book they read.

Challenge your students to see who can be the biggest bookworm! Certificates and sponsorship forms available to all those who take part.

If you are in the Bristol or Bath area we can come and do a free assembly, exploring the typical life of a Tanzanian school child in an exciting and engaging way.

African Initiatives is a rights organisation which challenges injustice through girls’ education projects in Africa.

The money you raise will help support our girls’ education projects at Emanyata Secondary School, in Tanzania. Working with the local community, these projects improve Maasai girls’ enrolment and performance in school, giving them a brighter future.
