Planning for next term? Download African Initiatives’ School’s Fundraising & Education Pack ‘Fight for our Rights‘. It includes six case studies from Tanzania and Ghana showing the beneficiaries of our overseas work relating to girls’ education, women’s rights, farming and HIV/AIDS.
Teaching ideas are included with each case study. African Initiatives will be ready and willing to support you with your efforts in any way we can – through assemblies, resources and ideas.
Over the past seven years African Initiatives has done a huge amount of global education work with thousands of schools. In this pack we hope we will provide children and young people with an opportunity to explore issues in depth while taking action and making a difference to real people’s lives through raising much-needed funds to support our projects.
£24 could buy uniform and text books for a girl at secondary school in Tanzania, for a year
£45 could train a health education volunteer in Ghana
£98 could pay for training for women farmers in Ghana, enabling them to earn an income to support their children
£390 could sponsor a Maasai girl through a year of secondary school in Tanzania, and save her from an early marriage
We recognise that schools have many other commitments but hope that you will consider raising money for African Initiatives and fighting for the rights of people in Africa.
