The Bath Half Marathon
Minimum sponsorship: £250
Why run the Bath Half?
The Bath Half Marathon, or the Bath Half, as it’s affectionately known, is one of the most popular city centre running events in Britain and certainly the biggest fundraising event in the South West. Last year, our dedicated runners raised almost £7,000!
The course is fast and flat and fantastic for beginners or those looking to beat their personal bests. Of course, it’s also an ideal stomping ground for anyone preparing for the London Marathon.
You’ll be running a two-lap 13.1 mile traffic-free course, starting and finishing in Great Pulteney Street in the centre of this beautiful city.
What training do I need?
The Bath Half Marathon website has lots of information on training, diet and nutrition and there’s even a 10 week training plan. Visit the Bath Half website.
One way to help with training is to join a running club. You can search Run England for a club close to you. Visit the Run England website.
What support will I get?
African Initiatives will help you set up a fundraising page and give you lots of support during fundraising. We can also provide you with an African Initiatives running vest, training tips and lots of encouragement as you prepare!
Just email Michael@african-initiatives.org.uk
or call us on 0117 915 0001 and we will give you
all the information in a handy Bath Half fundraisers pack!
