Skills to Save Lives – An interview with John Chamanga


Sombetini School is one of the new ‘government schools’ in Arusha which has been open for 5 years during which time the number of school buildings, staff and students has grown exponentially. There are now 29 staff and 1159 students. From 7 classrooms there are now 20. Building is ongoing – currently they are adding another classroom but there is also a computer lab and temporary science labs. Sombetini School is one of the most successful Health Clubs supported by CASEC as part of the HIV and AIDS programme.
