Our Funders

Our Funders

We value our long-standing relationships with donors and supporters.

Institutional Donors

We receive funding from institutional donors such as The National Lottery Community Fund, Comic Relief and UK Aid Direct (Department for International Development).

Trusts and Foundations

We are also given grants from Trusts and Foundations such as Mercury Phoenix Trust, Scott Bader Commonwealth Limited and Waterloo Foundation. For the full list of Trusts and Foundations who supported African Initiatives in 2017-18, read more here

Corporate Donor

Our relationship with Susie Hewson, Founder of Natracare began in 2016. Natracare is a family run business based in the UK and today is the global leading brand of natural and organic menstrual and personal care products. Read more here.

Susie generously bought an auctioned Maasai Talking Stick at our 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner in 2017. She has since provided direct support to our partners and our Equal Rights to Quality Education project through the Big Give Appeal 2018.

Individual Donors

Of course, individual supporters are important to us, too. Regular givers allow us to plan for the future, which is crucial if we are to commit to partners and communities long-term. Individuals making one-off donations to our appeals also make a difference, allowing us to extend the reach of our projects and to improve our operational efficiencies. In addition, we are grateful to our challenge event participants, particularly our Bath Half Marathon runners, who raise vital funds in sponsorship.
